This summer, our interns didn’t just join us to learn- they joined us to lead with Intern Impact Day.
As part of our commitment to community engagement and hands-on learning, we launched our first-ever Intern Impact Day, a dedicated day of service where our summer interns left their desks and stepped into the heart of the community.
To make a meaningful impact, interns partnered with Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries, a nonprofit near to the heart of SEnergy. Hill Country Daily Bread unites and equips communities to fight poverty in the name of Christ. Each year, we organize and participate in events to support HCDBM. For example, one of the biggest is our annual Hill Country Classic Golf Tournament, which raised $9,000 in this past year alone.
We helped 25 local students start the year strong with brand-new clothing.
Our interns made a real difference for students across the Texas Hill Country. They also deepened their understanding of service and teamwork.
“Watching our interns connect with the community in such a meaningful way was inspiring,” said Christi Keller from our Marketing team. “Intern Impact Day goes beyond volunteering—it’s about building character, empathy, and leadership.”
We’re proud of the impact our interns made and grateful to Hill Country Daily Bread for the opportunity to serve. All in all, this is just the beginning of an annual tradition that we look forward to growing!
